December 21, 1964 - City Council awards the $4.8 m contract for the construction of the Public Safety Building and Civic Parkade. The PSB was completed in 1966 and with the help of metal slats and steel mesh remains standing today !
December 21, 1935 - Ed Schreyer is born in Beausejour, Manitoba. He served as Premier from 1969 - 1977 and Governor General of Canada from 1979 to 1984.
