March 28, 1922 - James Armstrong Richardson is born Winnipeg. A member
of the Trudeau cabinet from 1968 – 1978, he stepped down to protest the
implementation of official bilingualism.
March 28, 1942 - The worst snowstorm in over 20 years brings Southern Manitoba to a halt. Brandon received 40 cm of snow in just one night and there would be more to come.
