March 2, 1883 - The Town of Minnedosa was incorporated.

March 2, 1928 - Gordon Hudson of the Strathcona Curling Club became Manitoba’s first Brier winner. Manitoba rinks won five of the first six championships! Both Hudson and his 1928 and 1929 teams are in the Manitoba Sport Hall of Fame.
